It operates a multipurpose terminal serving as an important gateway for imports and exports into eastern Nigeria. They are recruiting qualified candidate to apply for the role of an HSE/Safety Officer.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in a dedicated safety role, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or corporate environments.
- Training in: First Aid/CPR, Fire Safety, Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Incident Investigation.
- Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and occupational safety regulations.
- Ability to conduct Job Safety Analyses (JSA), hazard audits, root-cause analysis and incident investigations.
- Ability to develop Emergency Response Plans (ERP), SOPs and environmental safety guidelines.
- Strong communication, critical-thinking and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and PPE enforcement.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate, OSHA 30-Hour certification and ISO 45001 Internal Auditor certification is an added advantage.
