The Dangote Cement Management Trainee Programme is a prestigious 18-month programme designed to accelerate the development of high-potential mid-career professionals into future senior leaders of Dangote Cement. Successful trainees will gain cross-functional exposure, intensive classroom learning, mentorship from senior executives, and real-world project experience across plants, depots, and corporate offices.
Key Expectations on the Programme
– Complete an intensive 1-month classroom immersion covering business strategy, economic analysis, cement industry fundamentals, risk management, and leadership.
– Undertake structured rotations across Operations & Technical, Commercial & Distribution, and Corporate Support functions.
– Participate in site visits and extended assignments at major plants and depots to gain firsthand exposure to the industrial environment.
– Work on high-impact projects that address strategic priorities, culminating in a capstone presentation to senior leadership.
– Participate in leadership labs focused on personal mastery, team leadership, and enterprise leadership.
– Engage actively in mentoring relationships with cross-border C-level executives
– Maintain a reflective development journal and engage in peer learning circles
– Demonstrate resilience, adaptability, and influence skills in challenging environments, including manufacturing plant conditions and high-stakes business scenarios.
Requirements
– Between 28 and 35 years old
– Must have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC)
– 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience
– Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma ((HND – for technical roles)
– Strong analytical and quantitative skills; comfort with data-driven decision-making.
– Demonstrated leadership potential with ability to influence stakeholders across levels.
– Resilience and adaptability to thrive in demanding industrial environments.
