The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has officially announced the launch of its Foreign Post-Graduate (Master’s Degree) Scholarship Programme for the 2025/2026 academic session. This visionary initiative is designed to empower promising young individuals from the Niger Delta region by providing them with access to advanced education and specialized training abroad. Eligibility Criteria:
- Origin: Applicants must be indigenes of the Niger Delta region, encompassing Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo, and Rivers States.
- Academic Qualification: Candidates should possess a minimum of a Second Class Lower Division degree from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: Applicants must not be above 40 years of age.

Application Process:
- Online Application: Eligible candidates must submit their applications through the official NDDC Scholarship Application Portal. New applicants should create an account by clicking the “Sign up” link. Upon registration, a confirmation email will be sent; ensure to check both inbox and spam folders. After confirming the account, applicants can access the full application form, submit necessary documents, and track the progress of their application.
- Required Documents: Applicants are to upload the following documents:
- Recent passport photograph
- Local Government Identification Letter
- Admission letter from a foreign university
- Degree certificate
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
- Selection Process: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT) as part of the selection procedure. A minimum score of 70% in the CBT is required to advance to the next stage. Further verification will be conducted through the candidates’ Local Government Area (LGA) and community representatives.
Scholarship Coverage:
The scholarship provides full financial support for the duration of the Master’s programme, covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses. The exact amount is determined based on the prevailing exchange rate.
